What our units manage
²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù has a number of divisions, departments and units that comprise the university’s administration. Here are short explanations of what they handle.
Serving as the major personnel office for the academic side of the house, this office provides leadership and oversight for recruiting, appointing, promoting and retaining our faculty.
This unit is engaged in helping ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù reach its potential through philanthropic support and in helping ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù alumni, donors, friends, parents and retirees engage with and maintain lifelong connections to the university.
This division supports the university in three broad areas: resource planning and finance, facilities and land management, and safety services. Responsibilities include developing the campus budget; planning, designing, operating and stewarding the campus’s physical and natural resources; managing human resources; and providing for the health and safety of the campus community and its visitors.
This office administers programs that expand ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù’ global impact and engagement.
This unit builds awareness, understanding, support and advocacy for ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù among elected officials and business, community and civic opinion leaders.
An advocate for graduate students and postdoctoral scholars, this office also supports the faculty and staff members engaged in graduate education, and administers policies affecting graduate studies.
Our integrated academic health system encompasses the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù School of Medicine, the Betty Irene Moore School of Nursing, the hospital and clinical services of ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù Medical Center, and the 800-member physician group known as ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù Medical Group.
This unit provides leadership and coordination for campuswide IT policy and planning, and provides tech services and support in various areas. These include the campus network, telecommunications, computing, instructional technology, information security, application development, customer support and digital media.
With a mission to protect the ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù community, the Police Department involves students, faculty and staff in its many programs that include student escorts, Safe Rides and a Cadet Academy.
This university-wide office builds and supports meaningful relationships between ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù scholars and local, regional and global communities to work together to build a better future.
This unit is the primary office for matters related to research and externally sponsored programs, research compliance, and patenting and licensing of campus intellectual property.
This office is responsible for integrated marketing and communication programs that promote and support the university’s missions of teaching, research and service.
The Division of Student Affairs encompasses that provide programs, services and facilities to foster academic success, student development and campus community.
This office advocates for undergraduates, administers academic issues regarding graduation and educational effectiveness, and offers opportunities beyond the classroom that invite students to participate fully in the dynamic intellectual life of ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù.
