Students who have submitted a ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) can access their decisions and information online by logging into their account on or after November 15. Counselors will also have direct access to their students' TAG decisions via the TAG review form, which can be viewed through the Student Lookup, myTAGs or various reports on the UC TAG site.

Following are answers to some of the questions most commonly asked about ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù TAG decisions:

My UC Davis TAG was approved...

  • Will my counselor have access to my UC Davis TAG decision?
  • Yes—authorized counselors at your community college will have access to view your UC Davis TAG decision.
  • How do I make corrections to the personal information on my TAG, e.g. name, email, mailing address or phone number?
  • Go to the "My Information" section of your and make the appropriate updates to your personal information. If you've already started filling out your , please be sure to make corrections there as well.
  • Do I still need to apply to ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù during the October 1-December 2 application submission period?
  • Yes. Your TAG contract stipulates that you must submit the by the posted final deadline. Remember, you can import your academic information directly from your UC TAP into the UC application!
  • Since submitting my TAG, I expect to have or already have: changed my course schedule, dropped a class, discovered that the courses planned will not be offered at my college or attended another California community college (CCC). Will any of these changes affect my UC Davis TAG? How should I notify UC Davis?
  • Review your UC Davis TAG Decision Form carefully—the terms of your TAG require that you complete the coursework specified in your contract by the indicated terms. If you do not complete coursework specified in your TAG contract, you will have failed to meet your conditions of admission and will jeopardize your admission guarantee.


    If your college will not offer a course required by your TAG contract, you should plan to complete the course at another CCC—be sure to visit to ensure that any courses taken will satisfy your TAG requirements.

    If you are attending a CCC different than the one you attended when your TAG was submitted, visit to ensure that courses at your new school will satisfy your TAG requirements and make certain that you do not duplicate coursework.

    When completing the UC application, provide your current course schedule and tentative spring schedule. Notify UC Davis and any other UC campuses about coursework changes and grades in January using the .   • Some of the information requested on the UC application was already provided on my TAG application—do I need to fill in these sections? How important is it for me to complete the personal insight questions?
  • Yes—you must thoroughly complete the UC application, so that it accurately reflects the information shown on your . You can import academic information directly from your UC TAP into the UC application. Report each college or university at which you were previously or are currently enrolled or in attendance, including colleges or universities outside of the United States. It is also very important that you complete the personal insight questions. Remember, the UC application is also your scholarship application to our campus.
  • I left out some information when I submitted my UC Davis TAG—can I make corrections on the UC application?
  • Yes, you can make corrections on the UC application. Please provide your current information on the UC application and use the comment field to explain any discrepancies between information on your TAG and the UC application.

  • I want to complete some of my required coursework during the summer, but did not indicate that on my TAG. Can I enroll in classes during the summer without jeopardizing my TAG?
  • No—the terms of your TAG require that you complete the coursework specified in your contract by the indicated terms with grades of C or higher. Failure to meet these terms will jeopardize your admission guarantee. You may take additional coursework during the summer, but you may not use the summer term to complete courses or transferable units required for the UC Davis TAG.

    In most cases, you can take courses at a California community college that exceed your prescribed TAG requirements. However, if you previously attended a University of California campus or have completed upper-division units at another four-year institution, you may have unit limitations that, if exceeded, could affect your admission guarantee.
  • Is the UC Davis TAG really a guarantee of my admission?
  • Yes! Your approved UC Davis TAG guarantees that you will be admitted to UC Davis in the major and for the term specified by your contract, provided that you meet the terms of our agreement and submit your during the application submission period. Your UC Davis TAG Decision Form specifies the terms of our agreement and the steps you must take to assure your guarantee.

My UC Davis TAG was not approved...

  • Can I appeal my TAG decision?
  • No—all TAG decisions are final and appeals will not be considered. However, you may still be a competitive candidate for regular admission to UC Davis without the promise provided by a UC Davis TAG.

    We encourage you to work with your community college counselor to review your situation and to determine whether you should file the for the upcoming fall cycle or for a future term.
  • I believe that there has been a mistake regarding my TAG decision. What should I do?
  • We encourage you to apply to UC Davis for the upcoming regular fall admission cycle or for a future term by submitting your UC application during the application submission period—use the comment field to tell us why you think a mistake has been made.

    UC Davis gives every application a thorough review and evaluation. Although all TAG decisions are final and appeals will not be considered, you may still be eligible and competitive for admission to UC Davis through the regular application process.
  • What if I don't understand the reason that my TAG was denied?
  • Please review the UC Davis TAG requirements then visit your community college counselor to discuss your circumstances. Your counselor may advise you to file the for the upcoming fall admission cycle or for a future term.
  • Am I eligible to apply for fall admission to UC Davis without a TAG?
  • We encourage you to visit your community college counselor to review your circumstances and determine whether you should apply for the upcoming regular fall admission cycle or for a future term.
  • Can I submit a UC Davis TAG for a future term? What happens to the TAG information I already submitted?
  • Absolutely! We urge you to submit a TAG for admission next fall or later, and encourage you to use the upcoming year to discuss your academic plan with your community college counselor, continue to complete coursework toward your UC Davis major, and meet the academic requirements for a UC Davis TAG.


    To update your TAG application for a future term, log in to the and make any necessary changes, including the term for your future TAG. As information changes between now and the TAG filing period in September, you can return to your UC Transfer Admission Planner and make appropriate changes to your personal information, coursework and grades.

  • Will UC Davis TAG criteria change next year?
