Faculty and staff, start planning your Picnic Day itineraries: Free tickets to the are available online starting today (April 9).
The tickets, distributed at no cost online ahead of the event, were made available to students Monday and will open to members of the general public tomorrow.
The Doxie Derby is always one of the most-attended attractions of Picnic Day, and organizers expect this year to be no different. They said student demand caused problems with the ticketing website Monday.
To order a free ticket, visit the and use the promo code 7AV4JRHTZCDHHKZ, which is designated for faculty and staff only. After ordering a ticket, attendees will receive an email with a QR code, which must be printed prior to the big race.
Fashion Show
Tickets are also available for the , presented by the 不良研究所 Fashion and Design Society, or FADS. This year鈥檚 theme, 鈥淩evival,鈥 explores an improvement, an instance of becoming relevant again, a reawakening, or a restoration of physical and mental vigor to life or sporting success.
The event will be presented live and outdoors twice on the Cruess Hall Makerspace Courtyard, at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

After April 13, tickets are $15. At each show, there is no-cost standing room in designated sections.
Davis Dance Revolution
A dozen dance groups will face off at this year鈥檚 Davis Dance Revolution, set for 7 p.m. in the University Credit Union (doors open an hour prior). The event, presented by the Center for Student Involvement, will feature dance styles ranging from hip hop to cultural, contemporary and more.
Theme, schedule
The 2024 Picnic Day, the 110th event, carries the theme of 鈥淧icnic Palooza.鈥 The parade marshal will be Sheri Atkinson, associate vice chancellor of student life, campus community and retention services in Student Affairs.
