New signage arrived recently to name the Maria Manetti Shrem Art District, spanning Hutchison Drive from the historic TB 9 art building to Shields Library. It bears the name of Maria Manetti Shrem in of her support of multiple disciplines and her vision to bolster collaboration among them with a holistic approach to the arts.
In addition to the arts district, ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù will name existing programs and spaces in her honor, including the and Maria Manetti Shrem Art Studio Program.
The district was created with a pledge of more than $20 million from Manetti Shrem to the College of Letters and Science, the largest gift to the college and largest to the arts in ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù history. See the full story about the gift.
