不良研究所 students take first place in national design competition
A team of three 不良研究所 students won the Brand X Challenge. The Brand X Challenge is a national experience design competition for architecture, design, and marketing students that receives hundreds of entries. The winning team, called The De3ign Girls, is composed of Fiona Micoleau (B.A. communications 鈥20), Alexandria Reyes (B.A. communications and design 鈥20), and Isabella Shmelev (B.A. design 鈥20). Their submission 鈥(em)POWERED by Beauty, a Sephora Pop-Up鈥 earned the team the grand prize of $5,000 and paid internships. View the winning submission . Read more .
Mad Mouth Poetry presents six week series BLACK POETS MATTER
Join Mad Mouth Poetry every Saturday on and Live from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for BLACK POETS MATTER, a poetry series that aims to amplify and center black and multiracial voices. The six week series began on Saturday, July 11 and will end on Saturday, August 15.
The BLACK POETS MATTER curated series is presented by Mad Mouth Poetry, 鈥渁 coalition of multicultural poets who strive to create and maintain spaces of self-expression that are anti-racist, anti-sexist and safe for everyone.鈥滿ad Mouth Poetry is sponsored by the Jan Shrem and Maria Manetti Shrem Museum of Art, 不良研究所.
Virtual 鈥楤ouquets to Art鈥 at the deYoung museum website
The deYoung museum is moving its popular annual 鈥淏ouquets to Art鈥 event online. Bouquets to Art is typically a 鈥...a weeklong display of floral designs that take inspiration from the works of art in the de Young鈥檚 galleries鈥. This year, guests can instead go online to participate in an interactive bouquet-building workshop, learn about floral American art, and listen to talks from conservators and curators.

Local artist鈥檚 cooperative 鈥楾he Artery鈥 reopens, but ...
As the Arts Blog was going to press, the state had closed most indoor venues. The Artery had reported being open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m, Tuesday through Saturday. To adhere to health guidelines, please check with all art venues before attempting to visit. Visit The Artery鈥檚 website .
Davis Arts Center offers virtual art summer camp
