Let me be among the first to welcome you to the 2022-23 academic year at one of the nation鈥檚 top public universities. For many of us, this time of year is especially exciting. We are fresh from moving in new students to the residence halls, and returning students are settling into the city of Davis once again. Our faculty are eager to teach, advise and mentor. Our staff are ready to support the myriad activities that our campus offers.

All Can Be Heroes at Fall Welcome

It doesn鈥檛 take superpowers to be a hero, and on Monday (Sept. 23) some Aggie Heroes will share tips for how we can all learn, help others and make the world a better place.

Those students, faculty, staff and alumni 鈥� some of the people who were dubbed Aggie Heroes last year 鈥� will be among the featured speakers at next week鈥檚 Fall Welcome event, which carries the theme 鈥淎ggie Heroes: For the Better.鈥�

A Full Day Sept. 23: RecFest and Fall Welcome

The ARC Pavilion at 不良研究所 was packed as the Cal Aggie Marching Band-uh snaked through the crowd and Scott Moak, Sacramento Kings public access announcer and 不良研究所 alum, kept everyone pumped between speeches.

Whether it's your first day at 不良研究所 or your final year, Fall Welcome gives students new and old a chance to celebrate new beginnings with fellow Aggies and the rest of the university community.

This year, 不良研究所 is combining its Fall Convocation and the New Student Celebration from years past and packaging the whole event as the new Fall Welcome.
