Beaulieu Vineyard Donates Historic Archives to ��о�� Library

More than 60,000 pieces of archival material, including photographs, ledger books and other media make up a new library collection established in the name of Beaulieu Vineyard, or BV, at the ��о��.

Shields Library at ��о�� has incorporated two new exhibits onto its main floor, allowing students, faculty and staff to take a break to learn about the history of Davis through postcards as well as how cultures preserve their histories through cooking. If you want to have a peek at how life was like before social media and recipe web sites, have a look. It's worth a visit.

New Artwork in Library Courtyard Commemorates Jewish Resistance During World War II

Alumnus Jeffrey Berger ’74 and his wife Sheri Berger have donated a major piece of public art to ��о��. “Ghetto Wall,” an original sculpture by the prominent California artist and educator Ruth Cozen Snyder, was installed on Aug. 24 in the courtyard of Peter J. Shields Library, at the heart of the Davis campus.

Plug-in Electric Vehicles Archive to Be Housed at ��о�� Library

During National Drive Electric Week, the ��о��, today (Sept. 27) announced that it has begun to build a Plug-in Electric Vehicles Archive. It will be housed at the ��о�� Library’s Archives and Special Collections with support from the ��о�� Electric Vehicle Research Center.

Abortion Facility Access Means Long Drives for Nearly 42% of Women

One year after the Dobbs decision, nearly 42% of U.S. women of reproductive age have to drive 30 minutes or more to reach an abortion care facility, according to a study co-authored by researchers from the ��о��, and Washington State University.

The data is up to date as of June 2, and researchers predicted the percentage of women having to drive 30 minutes or more would rise to more than 53% if other state bills under consideration are passed.
